Breeding selections can be very difficult when choosing a flavor profile to continue on to the next generation. After the first couple rounds of backcrossing cannabis, structure is more widely uniformed but flavor profiles still vary considerably. These are where decisions become more critical to choosing a definitive flavor profile. Our selection over many years of Bubba Kush had drawn us two different directions. Our original Pre-98 Bubba Kush displays a similar stature and physical make-up but the Bubba 2.0 was created by following a different flavor profile. When we brought the Pre-98 back into seed form we used an old sweet Afghani male. This was then stabilized for the next 4 generations isolating an amazing blend of spicy and sharp peppery accompanied by floral undertones.
Being a pure Indica it is important to grow the Bubba 2.0 to your desired height or size before inducing the flowering period. Thick foliage with broad forest green fan leaves make for a shallow canopy. We advise you to occasionally thin out the fan leaves to allow for deeper light penetration into secondary growth. Bubba 2.0 indoors, one can expect about an 8-week harvest. Large crowning buds begin to appear in the fifth week of flowering displaying an immense resin count. Known for purple hues with swollen calyxes this phenotype is visually stunning. Outdoors Bubba 2.0 finishes in the end of September but if weather permits we do recommend the first week of October to mature the trichromes to more of an amber state. Cages are advised as this phenotype can reach heights of 8 feet. Hollowing out the center of the Bubba 2.0 is highly important in order to maintaining airflow. These plants have quite hardy infrastructure and require minimal attention. Pure indica roots do leave the Bubba 2.0 slightly susceptible to powdery mildew, so we advise as always to use preventive measures. The flavor profile contains stronger floral accents than her Pre-98 mother. Spicy and sharp peppery overtones are accompanied by equally complex floral and fruity undertones. These play-out all the way to the end of joints and bowls alike. Effects are very cerebral and long lasting. With a strong couch locking ability Bubba 2.0 is highly effective as a sleeping aid and great for pain relief. 7 years of steady progression with this phenotype has resulted in a powerful and unique fusion now available to the public in feminized form.
